Remove the lower mounting bolt from shackle and spring then axle so that drops out of. Leave the bolt loose to allow alignment of shackle with spring. Then you should remove the front leaf spring from hanger. You should lift your truck with a jack and place it onto stands.

Insert the new shackle and mounting bolt. It begins from the date purchased. Material: Steel. Grind off the rivets that are holding hanger and then hammer them out.
